About the Center for the Treatment of Pain

The Center for the Treatment of Pain is a peer-to-peer outreach program designed to provide clinicians with simple, practical and balanced information on multiple aspects of treating pain.

This site has been designed to explore important issues in managing patients with pain in the primary care setting as well as in the specialty setting.

We hope that healthcare providers involved in pain management will utilize this online resource center freely to access programs that can influence knowledge and clinical approaches to their patients with chronic pain.

 

Chair Person



Arnold J. Weil, MD, MBA
Arnold J. Weil, MD, MBA, is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Rehabilitation Medicine at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia. He is also Chief Executive Officer of Non-Surgical Orthopaedics, P.C., one of the premier orthopaedic practices in the metro Atlanta area. Dr. Weil earned a medical degree at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. He received a master of business administration degree from Kennesaw State University in Georgia. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Active in clinical research, Dr. Weil has been involved in numerous phase 2, 3, and 4 clinical trials. Complementing his research endeavors, he is an invited speaker, who lectures nationally and internationally on pain management issues. Dr. Weil is a fellow of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
